This presentation will address a safe, efficient, predictable and successful endodontic protocol that may be immediately implemented into practice. The course will provide an overview of cleaning and shaping concepts, such as glide path management and reciprocating preparation, along with the advantages of utilizing the WaveOne Gold system. A discussion on the role of irritants in disinfecting the root canal system, which irrigants should be used, the importance of 3D irrigation, and removal of the smear layer to allow optimal cleaning and disinfection of the main canal and lateral anatomy. Finally, it will address filling the root canal system and the different techniques in order to obtain a three-dimensional filling.


Dr.Rodrigo Sanches Cunha DDS MSc Ph.D. FRCD(C)completed his Undergraduate Dental Degree in 1994, which he obtained from the Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Campinas (PUCC) in Campinas, SP-Brazil. His post-graduate studies include a Specialty degree in Endodontics obtained in 1997 from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP); in 2002, an M.Sc. degree in Clinical Dentistry (Endodontics), and in 2006, a Ph.D. degree in Dental Sciences both of which he received from Sao Leopoldo Mandic Centre for Dental Research. 
Dr. Cunha is an Associate Professor and Part-time Instructor at the College of Dentistry, Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Cunha has been a guest speaker at more than 200 events worldwide. Regarding research, Dr. Cunha has published more than 100 papers and abstracts in several peer-reviewed journals and six book chapters
