Message for WLADS Retired Members
Dear WLADS Members,

As the 2020 Western Los Angeles Dental Society President, I want to take this time to say hello and thank you for being an important part of our community. Whether you are new to retirement, well into your retirement or contemplating retirement, remember that WLADS is here for you.

We invite you to frequently look at our Web site for the latest news as well as events such as our annual golf tournament and installation/holiday party. We also have copies of WestViews housed online. Our electronic messages are sent out frequently. If you or someone you know would like to receive WLADS news, please reply to this e-mail and share the e-mail addresses.

In addition to WLADS, the CDA is also a resource for you. If you have questions about whether you should renew your membership at a lower retired rate, remember that there is an active and inactive option, primarily having to do with keeping CE current. We recommend you confirming your CE status before making a change.

For any retired dentists who want to volunteer in this COVID crisis, you may register now at the state of California’s Disaster Healthcare Volunteers website. The California Dental Health Corp will not require an active license or malpractice insurance. All dentists, regardless of status, can sign up on their website if you want to participate. Duties may include taking vital signs, triaging, administering COVID-19 tests. All dentists will be paid, amount to be determined.

We look forward to staying in touch. Please feel free to reach out with questions or ideas.

Thank you and be well,
David Downs, DDS
WLADS Board President
