Member Spotlight and COVID-19 Resource Update – April 16, 2020

Hello WLADS,

I hope that you are all doing well. In addition to new and updated resources related to COVID-19, in this newsletter, we wanted to highlight one of our distinguished WLADS members – Dr. Glen Tistaert. The Society has created a new page on our Web site where we plan to feature members and their stories. It’s our pleasure to kick-off this piece of positive news with Tistaert Dental – 102 Years Strong. Read about how the Tistaert family survived Polio and the Great Depression to creating three generations of dentists in Southern California. If you are interested in being spotlighted or want to suggest someone that we should highlight, please reply to this e-mail or contact execdir@westernlads.org. We are looking for original submissions in the first person or third person.

While we all have a little extra time on our hands, please consider getting more involved with WLADS. Later in the year, we will hold our annual elections. The current list of officers and committees can be found here. If you would like to learn more about potential openings or are interested in joining the board of directors or a committee, please let us know.

Know that your WLADS board and staff are doing their best to provide you with information via e-blasts and social media posts as well as links to pertinent sites and webinars to help you during this period. If you have questions or need anything, please let us know.

Flatten the curve and just know that we will all get through this together.

Sincerely,
David Downs, DDS
WLADS Board President
