Course description:

With the defunding of CDA’s Peer Review council, two of WLADS’ board members will present how to identify and prevent patient issues and how to manage patient conflicts. Topics will include patient selection, communication and documentation.


The course will include tips for dentists and specialists, hygienists, dental assistants and front office staff. Everyone who works in a practice contributes to patient care, so everyone should be informed on how to work with patients when issues arise.

Stevan Dumas, DDS

Stevan Dumas, DDS has been involved in Peer Review for over ten years. He has been a speaker at numerous training workshops during his tenure as a member of CDA’s Council on Peer Review. Presently, he is finalizing the remaining cases for the Appeals Committee of the council as CDA hibernates this member benefit.


Teresa Yang, DDS

As a past Chair of the CDA Peer Review Council, Dr. Teresa Yang has lectured frequently on conflict resolution and peer review subjects. She currently serves as a CDA Trustee from WLADS and Editor for WestViews. She is also a member of the CDA Foundation Board. Dr. Yang has been in private practice, starting two practices from scratch in Santa Monica.
